Gavin Henrick and Laia Joana Canet from Brickfield Education Labs will chat about the importance of Accessibility for Moodle content, discuss what areas to focus on, and share tips to improve the accessibility of your course content.

Learning about accessibility is something that everyone can benefit from, no matter how you work digitally. The webinar will be in English and will be a maximum of 45 min. 

This session will be valuable to you whether you have already started your journey to improve the accessibility of your courses or if you are starting. We would love to see you there! 

Accessibility in Moodle - What to Expect?

During this live session, James, Gavin and Laia will discuss key questions which include:

  • How would you define accessibility, and why is it important?
  • How to make sure that Moodle is accessible on a range of devices, including the mobile app?
  • How do the various versions of Moodle address accessibility issues? Is there a recommended version?

Tune in to hear Gavin and Laia’s answers to the above questions.

In addition, viewers will also hear some tips and tricks for the following:

  • creating accessible images
  • creating accessible multimedia
  • setting up Moodle courses accessibly

Gavin and Laia will also run through the Brickfield Accessibility Toolkit: a Moodle certified integration.

Since 2005, she has been assisting Moodle and Spanish Moodle partners. She has translated a variety of Moodle plugins into Spanish and Catalan. Laia is a digital accessibility enthusiast and works to ensure that online learning is accessible to everyone.
